Collette graduated from the Institute of Technology Tralee with a BA (Hons) Degree in Folk Theatre which incorporated studies in Music, Dance, Theatre, Literature, Irish Culture & Technical Stagecraft.   Collette was previously employed in Siamsa Tire-The National Folk Theatre of Ireland where she worked as an in house technician/stage manager for company shows and in a mix of administrative and marketing capacities for various external events. Some theatre works included Tearmann (NFT, Siamsa Tire, 2006), Moriarty (NFT, Siamsa Tire,2008), Rithim Rithim (NFT, Siamsa Tire,2009), What the Folk (Dublin Fringe,2010), What the Folk (Edinburgh Fringe 2011). She has also worked on various freelance projects which have included teaching on several children’s summer programmes, producing Tralee’s first Culture Night in 2009 and assisting with the annual Rose of Tralee International Festival
