The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon is an autonomous body established in 1951 to stimulate public interest in and promote the knowledge, appreciation and practice of the arts.

Kildare County Council sees its role as the fostering, promotion and development of the Arts in Co Kildare. Kildare County Council Arts Service is committed to the further development and consolidation of strategic partnerships, internally within Kildare County Council, locally, nationally and trans nationally.

Solas Nua is the only organisation in the United States dedicated exclusively to Irish contemporary arts.

Ealionn na Gaeltachta a subsidiary company of Údarás na Gaeltachta was set up to implement an arts plan for the Gaeltacht and is funded jointly by the Arts Council and Údarás na Gaeltachta.

Irish Theatre Institute a resource organisation for Irish Theatre and Dance Artists, producers and presenters in Ireland and internationally.

Camerata Ireland was founded in 1999 by Barry Douglas as an orchestra of Irish musicians determined to match the best in the world. Through its tours in USA, South America, China and most of Europe it has quickly developed a reputation for excellence and for creating a particularly distinctive Irish string sound.

Irish Playography Project is defined as a comprehensive catalogue of new Irish plays produced since the formation of the National Theatre. Currently all plays produced from 1950 to the present day are included. The third stage of the project 1904-1949, will be online at a future date.

Convergence Festival / Cultivate
Cultivate is a living and learning centre that seeks to:
• provide effective integral solutions to the issues of peak oil and climate change
• inspire individuals to explore solutions to live in a more sustainable, creative and ultimately balanced way
• answer questions about sustainability

Dublin Theatre Festival founded by Brendan Smith, who also ran the Olympia Theatre and the Brendan Smith Academy of Acting. In the 1950s, the Irish Tourist Board was interested in helping to finance events on what was termed “shoulder months” of the tourist season - May, June, September and October. Brendan successfully sought a grant and the Festival began operating in 1957.

Dublin Fringe Festival was set up in 1995 to provide a platform for the work of established and emerging artists who are committed to innovative approaches to the performing arts.

Theatre Forum acts as an advocate on behalf of the sector, lobbying for improved funding and conditions. We also aim to build capacity among member organisations, and provide a means of exchanging information, sharing skills and networking.

Project Arts Centre began life as a three-week festival at the Gate Theatre in November 1966. Although the initial impetus was to produce a single play this soon evolved into a season of experimental music, visual arts, seminars, children’s theatre and a hot debate on censorship with special guest, Edna O’Brien. Project’s first exhibition showed the work of four artists John Behan, Charlie Cullen, Michael Kane and John Kelly.

Traverse Theatre is Scotland’s new writing theatre, with a record of excellence since 1963.

Culture Ireland is the national agency established to promote Irish arts and artists overseas. Culture Ireland will support artists right across the creative spectrum including visual art, theatre, literature, music, dance, opera and film.

Kilkenny Arts Festival is one of Ireland’s oldest and largest international arts festivals which takes place annually in August against the beautiful medieval backdrop of Kilkenny, Ireland.

Kevin Treacy is an Irish Times Theatre Award winning lighting designer who has worked with The Performance Corporation on many of its shows.

Colm Hogan is a stills photographer working mainly in the areas of Film, Television, Theatre, Documentary and the Arts.

Contemporary Music Centre is Ireland’s national archive and resource centre for new music, supporting the work of composers throughout the Republic and Northern Ireland.

Dominic Turner is a fine art photographer and printer based in Dublin, Ireland.

Amani Peoples Theatre seeks to enhance Community space and provide skills for responding to conflict and development in creative ways that re-affirm the sanctity of human life.
