Canterbury Festival October 2007
In October 2007, The Performance Corporation once again brought its work to the U.K., this time it was Drive-By at the Canterbury Festival. This wasDrive-By’s first international appearance after two sell-out runs in 2006 at the Cork Midsummer Festival and the Dublin Fringe. This time the show was staged at Dreamland – a disused theme park in Margate, Kent - in the shadow of an old rollercoaster.
The show was a storming success with U.K. audiences who drove to the venue, tuned in their radios and were guided inside Dreamland for a thrilling look into the world of the boy-racer. The setting was scattered with scrapped, battered cars and the backdrop of the rollercoaster provided the perfect setting for this story that speeds close to the edge.
