Valeria Primost - Dancer
She studied in Buenos Aires and Amsterdam SNDO and MTD, where she graduated in June 2005. She has been since creating her own work as well as performing for other choreographers. The subject of her works are themes like migration (Born in Spring), absurdity (on the con-sequence of things), social vs. animal (Kissing Facts). She worked for Trisha Brown and performed with Julyen Hamilton and Katie Duck a.o. She created works for the Van Gogh Museum and Kasteel Groeneveld, a.o. and is the co-founder of The Meeting Point international platform for interdisciplinary practice of instant composing. Today she develops activities for The Meeting Point based in Berlin and the research and performance group Danza Nomade. As well as the collective Lucky Dreamers with musician Butz Freytag and Julius Holz. Among other projects she is this year working on “Bounce me” and “ bounce me Too”, a dance based on bouncing movements and dreaming. She has been a resident artist at the Space program with The Performance Corporation and has been invited by MIKS for a residence in London next Ocotber – November with performances atLaban Theatre, nottdance in Nottingham; Spring Loaded at The Place and Roehampton University.
As a teacher she gives workshops on Personal Dance Technique, Instant compossing and Movement Communication. She has been teaching at IUDANZA in Caracas, Sozo in Kassel, Montevideo Sitiada Festival in Uruguay, El Patio in Buenos Aires, Buitenkunst, Dansdrift and Anna Mora Studio in Holland.
