Hilary O’Shaughnessy - Performer

Hilary completed a degree in Language and Cultural Studies in University College Cork.

Previous theatre includes: Life Is A Dream, Is this about Sex, Attempts On Her Life (Rough Magic Theatre Company). The Devil’s Larder (Grid Iron), Ravenhill for Breakfast (Traverse Theatre), Fusion (TEAM), Racoon (Meridian). She is a regular reader for the Book On One on RTE Radio.

She is co-founder and Joint Artistic director of Playgroup. Previous productions: Crave, Integrity, Soap!, Dark Week, The Train Show, 4.48 Psychosis, Say Hi to the Rivers and the Mountains, The Heights. Their promenade performance Dark Week received a Judges Special Award Nomination at the 2005 Irish Times Theatre Awards. She is currently developing a new piece, Berlin Love Tour, for the company.

She is an experienced drama facilitator and is will launch her new children’s theatre company in 2009.
