Christine Fentz - Director
Christine Fentz (DK) holds a Master in Dramaturgy and is an autodidact director.
- Besides working as a dramaturge – primarily on dance and physical-visual stage art productions – she is the artistic director of production unit Secret Hotel. (www.secrethotel.dk – currently under reprogramming and thus terribly un-updated)
- In the frame of the production unit Secret Hotel she has staged various performances – wandering site specific, happenings, installations as well as music performances, installations concerts, etc. – as well as curated a conceptual exhibition Air from The old Millennium travelling the Danish Cultural Institutes worldwide, and a documentary film Growing Soul – My Daughter’s Ritual Journey shown several times on Danish National Television, Norway, Sweden.
- Her artistic work within stage art has been described as ‘audience-participatory visceral-sensory performance art’.
- Latest works are the performance Fall Fall She Fell and the performance lecture In the Field, both still touring Denmark and abroad.
- Residencies at The School of Drama & Music, University of Gothenburg, Sweden and The Space Programme/The Performance Coorporation, Ireland. Travel grants from Nordic and Danish organisations, amongst others for research in Siberia.
- She is co-founder and chair woman of the cultural political organisation Independent Performing Artists, (www.scenekunstnere.dk), has published several articles and is member of various other boards
