
Marketa Puzman
Producer
Marketa has joined The Performance Corporation as Producer in July 2009. Since then, she has produced Theatrical Espressos KISS USA and GAA! (Washington DC, 2010, in co-production with Solas Nua), a successful run of Power Point (Absolut Fringe, 2009) and the Irish premiere of the multi-disciplinary piece Cool Fresh Milk (Darklight Festival, 2009).
Originally from the Czech Republic, Marketa relocated to Ireland in early 2006 to take up a contract in contemporary dance as General Manager with Dance Theatre of Ireland. In mid 2007 she moved into theatre production as General Manager with Fishamble: The New Play Company. Here she produced Sebastian Barry’s The Pride of Parnell Street (Ulster Bank Dublin Theatre Festival, 2007) and a subsequent revival tour throughout Ireland and to London, Paris, Wiesbaden (Germany) and New Haven (USA). She also produced a revival tour of Pat Kinevane’s Forgotten throughout Ireland and to Paris, Prague (Czech Republic), Sibiu (Romania) and Edinburgh. While with Fishamble, Marketa also co-produced and stage directed Robert Massey’s Rank (Ulster Bank Dublin Theatre Festival, 2008) and its subsequent run in the Tricycle in London. Marketa also produced a reading of My Name Is Rachel Corrie (Project Arts Centre, 2008) in association with Amnesty International.
Prior to her relocation, Marketa worked in the film industry on numerous projects, including 17 feature films. Credits include: Hart’s War, Les Misérables, Last Holiday, Van Helsing and many television projects including BBC’s The Scarlet Pimpernel series.
