Irene graduated from U.C.C in 2007, where she studied Drama and Theatre Studies and Music. She has worked previously with The Performance Corporation on GAA! (Farragut Square, Washington DC, Solas Nua February 2010), KISS USA (The White House, Washington DC, Solas Nua February 2010), Power Point (Camden Court Hotel, Absolut Dublin Fringe 2009), White-Out ( Allianz Business to Arts Awards, 2009), JIG (St. Patrick’s Festival, 2008), The Nose (Project Arts Centre, 2008), KISS (Ulster Bank Dublin Theatre Festival 2008), Lizzie Lavelle and the Vanishing of Emlyclough (Carne Golf Links, Belmullet, Co. Mayo, 2007), Drive-By (Cork Midsummer Festival 2006, Dublin Fringe Festival 2006 and Canterbury Festival 2007), Dr Ledbetter’s Experiment (Traverse Theatre, Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2006).

Her other theatre credits include; Complexity (Complex Productions, 2009), Out of Time (Colin Dunne, 2009), Ferry Tales, 50 Ways to Leave Dun Laoghaire (Carpet Theatre Company 2008, 2009) , Macbeth (Siren Productions, 2008), A Play On Two Chairs (Mangiare Theatre Company, 2007) and The White Quadrangle ( Half/Angel, 2005).
